First, Create a wedding email to keep all wedding related contacts together such as quotes and orders.
Do an Engagement Shoot to be used for save the dates. (See blog for NJ locations if you're local)
Create a budget. Sit down with everyone contributing so everyone’s on the same page. You can even create a separate wedding bank account to save and spend from.
Create a mock wedding guest list for numbers and an idea of bridal party.
Find a venue. Make sure you physically visit the venue and ask if they are planning any renovations around your date. If they don't offer catering/bartending, you will have to book them too.
Book your Hotel and make a block for guests. If you are getting ready at the hotel, book the night before as check in is usually in the afternoon.
Find a Church if applicable as well as an officiant.
Plan the Honey Moon or Mini-Moon. Even if it's at a hotel staying somewhere other than home is nice.
Start Wedding Dress shopping - Veil, Shoes, Shape Wear and Jewelry too. I purchased my jewelry and veil at the bridal salon because I was able to try them on with my dress on. (I went to Castle Couture).
Book your Mua and Hair (do a trial too). If you have short hair like I did and want your hair long or in an up-do, you can also plan for extensions. My hairdresser and friend Morgan turned my bob into the most beautiful up-do. (See photo in the about me sections).
Book Videographer, Photographer, DJ and Photo Booth. I am your go-to for Videography and Photo Booth needs.
Book your Florist. Choose colors - Ask her to make you a sample centerpiece. Decide where else you would like to decorate with flowers. Do you need boutonnieres and bouquets?
Create Wedding Guest List and Send out Save the Dates
Book limo/car if transportation is needed.
Order Wedding Cake if the venue does not provide one. Would you like a cake topper?

Buy Wedding Bands
Get Tuxes if applicable (cuff links) watch -tie, bow tie, suspenders, socks
Shop for Wedding Party Dresses-Order Swatches online for colors.
Send out Invitations
Buy Getting Ready outfits ei. Robes and Slippers
Create a Seating Chart (when RSVP deadline arrives) and Assign Table Numbers
Order Favors, Seating chart, Wedding Signs
Create Meal Cards/Drink Menu if applicable
Order any cute personalized items such as "Pet Napkins" I am a huge Fan of incorperating your pets into the day!
File for your Marriage license as early as 90 days out.
Book Nail Appointment for the day before the wedding (even two if you get gel)
Prepare Tip Envelopes
Create Thank You Cards (If you want to get it out of the way)
Order Wedding day breakfast and lunch catering
Create personalized items like memorial with picture frames of family and friends who are no longer with you
Dance Lessons if needed
Card box, Cake Serving Set, Champagne Glasses (See Packing List in DayofVows Blog)
Bridal Party Gifts
Vows and couple Gifts
Make Bathroom Baskets (Easiest thing to delegate to a family member)
